Docspace has a mobile cinema unit!
Docspace's mobile high definition projector had its first outing at the Queen's Hall on April 1st 2006. The projector is bright (3500lumens) and is suitable for halls or spaces seating up to around 100. The mobile PA system can work both in and outdoors.

Amy Hardie has presented a paper, Realities and RollerCoasters at The Enigma of the Audience, Filmhouse. .The conference was an opportunity to hear about the latest empirical research into film audiences. Building on the success of the first conference, an aims of the conference was to continue to bring academics and filmmakers together to engage in fruitful discussion about the state of current audience research and its impact on policy and practice. STOLEN - Interactive Q&A
In conjunction with Scottish Documentary Institute and Edinburgh College of Art, Docspace screened the award-winning feature documentary Stolen, and hosted the director Rebecca Dreyfus on her first visit to Scotland. Using cutting edge technology, we live-linked up with five venues; DCA, CCA, Peacock Visual Arts Centre, Taigh Chearsabhagh, Robert Burns Centre to allow Ms. Dreyfus to take questions for people right across the country.

PHILIP AND HIS SEVEN WIVES - Interactive Q&A
In conjunction with Scottish Documentary Institute and Edinburgh College of Art, Docspace screened the controversial and hugely interesting documentary Philip and his Seven Wives. The award-winning director, Marc Isaacs proved to be an incredibly engaging director who answered a host of diverse questions from audiences across Scotland.

Taking Cinema into the New Interactive Age
the Filmhouse in Edinburgh, played host to a hitherto unique and exciting event. A screening of the documentary CHINA BLUE, winner of the Amnesty Human Rights Award 2006, was to be followed by an interview with the Director of the film – who was seated in another cinema in Amsterdam! Using web-based technology, the film’s director (Micha Peled) was to be web-streamed live into the Filmhouse, for an interview shared between four venues – two in Holland, one in Austria, and the Filmhouse in Edinburgh.
