With Hot Rod-Joey Kemp, Jamie Birmingham, Steve Best, Chris Beaubiah, Steven Faunch, Michael McCully, Richard Leighton, Gary Miller, Bill Doggett.

"American Movie meets Napoleon Dynamite in the Lansdowne Demolition Derby"

This hilarious documentary follows Joey Kemp a.k.a. "Hot Rod" and his raucous attempt to regain his title in the bizarre Lansdowne Demolition Derby. Described as a
cross between Fubar and Napoleon Dynamite Joey does
for Demolition Derby what Mark Borchardt and Mike Schank did for home movies in the 1999 surprise hit American Movie. Thirsty for success he may be but Joey can't discount his eccentric and equally determined challengers; the British Bulldog, Team Sweetleaf, The Jester, and the Berminator!. Edgy and absurd, Hot Rod
will leave you squirming as chevettes and station wagons are stripped and rebuilt, only to be utterly destroyed in the ring.

"Hysterically entertaining and packed with eccentric
real-life characters, Hot Rod is a crash-course in comedy that should not be missed" Kingston Canadian Film
Festival 2004.

Rollin' Through the Decades
dir: Winstan Whitter
UK 2005 123 mins (suggested cert U)
Starring various skaters as themselves.

A true picture of the UK skateboarding scene since the
70s to the present day and its influence on our time. After the first boom in the 70s, skateboarding had become the domain of small groups of passionate diehards. By the late 70s the English and Scottish Skateboard Associations began to group together what was left of the UK scene.
This wave began to gain nationwide exposure and spawned the opening of new skate parks across the UK. However in the late 80s, due to lack of organisation and falling revenues, the Skateboard Associations ended, skate parks closed, magazines folded and the whole culture went back underground. Today in the UK, skateboarding is big business, consumed every day in the corporate non-skateboarding world of TV and fashion advertising, yet the skaters themselves feel left out, ironically victims of their own success.

Rolling Through the Decades shows the whole turbulent journey and features interviews with more than 100 influential and legendary skateboarders, photographers
and filmmakers. It blends historic and rare footage with nostalgic sounds of the time.

"This film documents the Universal Soul of skateboard culture" Concrete Wave Magazine.
